Living in "the land of the waterfalls" inspired me to paint another falls with more exciting colors than I have used in the past. A big falls deserves a large canvas. While I classified this as impressionism because of the pigments I used and making the rocks glow, this is a realistic representation of the rocks and water at Estatoe Falls, which is in Transylvania County, NC near Rosman. We are all attracted to water and will hike miles to view lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Entered in 2 shows, Estatoe Falls has already won a first place award.
