Living only 5 miles from these falls at Dupont State Forest they are dear to my heart. In an effort to paint a landscape with more colors while depicting the shapes and values of the scene, I painted this second work of the top two falls at Triple Falls, the first one titled Winter Whitewater and this one Summer Whitewater. I think I achieved my goal of exciting colors and with my efforts to make rocks look like rocks without gray and black. The mountains and streams of Western North Carolina are alive with beauty, wildlife and clean water.
